Alzheimer’s disease

We are exploring the impact of epignetic variants that are specific to Alzheimer’s disease brain cells on the pathology. We profile patient brains alongside iPSC-derived and fibroblast-direved neurons for changes in DNA methylation and we study the mechanisms linking these epimutations on the pathology.

Neurodevelopmental disorders

We are using human iPSC differentiation as a model of neurodevelopment and we apply this model to study autism-related disorders such as the Rett syndrome and fragile X syndrome. We then use CRISPR techniques and high-throughput screenings to reverse the course of the disease.

Stem cell technologies

We are developing new tools to improve the reprogramming of human somatic cells into iPSC and we are establishing new differentiation protocols to generate cells better mimicking patient’s cells.
